Riverside, a neighborhood located in central Indianapolis contains a dilapidated strip of land along North Harding Street. This stretch of land contains both the Hartmann Building and The Ritz Nightclub, both formerly prominent buildings that have long been abandoned. Both of these buildings are underutilized gems with the potential to become catalysts that bridge the past with the present and future.

 

Those who reside in Riverside desire to have their voices heard and be part of the design process for a mixed-use residential building that contains a mix of commercial, retail, and affordable apartments. This will be achieved through public input in the design and collective investments from community members; doing so will prioritize equity, affordability, and the creation of generational wealth.
